Choosing the right trailer for your vehicle is a weighty issue. In fact, the decision will be almost all about weight, with a few other factors to consider too. Start your quest for trailers to hire in Pretoria by referencing your vehicle’s user manual. Here, you can verify its vehicle towing capacity. It is the manufacturer’s specification of the weight of that the vehicle can tow.
Selecting a trailer that exceeds your vehicle’s towing capacity will stress your car’s transmission, engine and brakes beyond their design limits. While perusing the vehicle owner’s manual, also take note of the gross vehicle weight. This is the actual weight of your car. Now, take a look at the gross vehicle weight rating, which is the sum of the vehicle’s weight, and the maximum load it can safely carry.
The Trailer Weight
As you continue on your quest for trailers to hire in Pretoria, take into account the gross trailer weigh of the unit you are considering renting. This weight is what the trailer will ultimately weigh under fully loaded conditions. These are only a few of the indicators to consider when looking for the correct trailer to hire for your needs.
